Description
Ramon’s Village Resort is a Tahitian-style beach hideaway in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island, set along the Caribbean Sea just a short boat ride from the Belize Barrier Reef — the longest reef system in the Western Hemisphere. Thatched-roof cabanas and multi-room suites, tucked amid lush tropical landscaping, offer air conditioning, ceiling fans, and private balconies, while resort amenities include a lagoon-style pool, the open-air Pineapples restaurant overlooking the sea, a smoothie bar, spa, and free WiFi throughout. At its heart is one of Belize’s oldest and most respected dive operations, a PADI 5-Star IDC center running three daily boat trips out to the barrier reef as well as full-day excursions to the outer atolls, alongside a complete slate of certification courses for every experience level. Divers can expect warm Caribbean water year-round, generally ranging from the high 70s°F in winter to the mid-80s°F in summer, with visibility commonly between 40 and 80 feet and stretching further during the dry months. The best diving window falls roughly April through June, when seas are calm and conditions are at their clearest, while the rainy and hurricane season, running June through November with peak activity later in the season, can bring more rain and choppier crossings — making winter and late spring particularly appealing times to visit.
